Endearing, feisty, and alert, the Australian Terrier is a loving breed that makes an excellent family companion. Despite being one of the smallest of the terriers, they are tough, brave, and cheeky. They are easily trained and suitable to either suburban or apartment living.

Originally used as an aid to the pioneers in the harsh Australian outback.

  

Small Breed. Weight: 12-14 lbs. Height at the shoulders: 10-12 in.


Australian Terriers need very little exercise.

A soft coat requires regular brushing. Very light shedders.

Best with older, more considerate children.

Generally gets along well with other animals.

 
Usually a very healthy breed.
