A charming and clever breed that makes an excellent companion. They are friendly with everyone, but can be willful and demanding-they love being spoiled. They must be raised in the house with the family and are good with other dogs and even cats. They are suited to suburban or apartment living.

Probably resulted in crosses between Belgian terriers of the 1800s, the Pug, and the English Toy Spaniel.

  

Very Small Breed. Weight: 8-12 lbs. Height at the shoulders: 8-10 in.


Brussels Griffons need very little exercise.

A rough or smooth coat requires regular grooming. Very light shedders.

Best with older, considerate children.

Generally does well with other pets.

 
Eye and respiratory problems, slipped patellas, and difficulty breeding, some require Cesarian delivery.
