A sturdy, muscular dog, Bull Terriers are playful, obedient, and energetic. They are brave and fearless, often becoming very protective of their owners. They are mostly sweet and non-aggressive, but they cannot tolerate teasing and can be willful. They will do well in apartments if sufficiently exercised.

Developed in the 19th century as a pit-fighting dog, but used mainly as a guard-dog and herder.

Medium Breed. Weight: 35-80 lbs. Height at the shoulders: 15-22 in.

Bull Terriers require vigorous daily exercise.

A short, thick coat requires little grooming. Average shedders.

Not generally trustworthy with other pets.

Zinc deficiency, deafness, OCD. Some prone to patellar luxation. Some males have overabundance of testosterone and require neutering.
