The French Bulldog, or the Bouldogue Francais, is patient, sweet, and craves company. They make excellent companions and often become protective of their owners. They are sturdy and muscular, and prefer cooler climates. They are clean and quiet and suited to apartment or suburban living.

Developed in England as a miniature version of the English Bulldog.

  

Small Breed. Weight: Up to 28 lbs. Height at the shoulders: Up to 12 in.


French Bulldogs need very little exercise.

A short coat requires very little grooming. Average shedders.

Best with older, considerate children.

Generally good with other pets if raised with them from puppyhood.

 
If overweight, prone to respiratory problems and can become gassy and wheezy.
