Lively, brave, and alert. The Scottish Terriers can be both independent and infatuated with their owners. They are playful, charming, and often protective, but their immense spirit can be a challenge. Some do well in apartments, others need a yard for exercise and independence.

First called the Aberdeen Terrier, Scottish Terriers were developed in Scotland in the 1700s and used to hunt den animals.
