An excellent hunting dog, combing endurance and speed. They are happy, loving, and intelligent, but they can be rambunctious and willful. Very brave and loyal, Weimaraners need to live indoors as part of the family and need attention and companionship. They are not suited to apartment living

Cultivated by the nobles of Weimar, Germany, and originally used to hunt and track; some believe they existed as early as the 1600s.
